How can I set up a payment gateway on Shopify?

Hi, I am a Korean with a US LLC. Is it possible to use shopify payments with my Korean ID or is it not possible at all?

There is no straight yes or no answer that I can provide in this situation, the decision to approve Shopify Payments US for international merchant accounts is decided on a case by case basis. I recommend reviewing the eligibility requirements for Shopify Payments US and ensure you have all the documentation we would need: Shopify Help Center - Shopify Payments US.

Outside of Shopify Payments, Korean merchants have a huge selection of alternate gateways to choose from. You can see the eligible payment gateway options for merchants located in Korea on our gateway page here.

It is now available via Stripe, with Easy.Pie for Shopify, if you have a Stripe US account you can accept wallets (Kakao Pay, Naver Pay, Samsung Pay, PayCo) and all local cards in South Korea in KRW without a local entity.

In KRW, it also supports credit debit cards like Visa Matercard etc., Apple Pay and Goole Pay.
