Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
I need to set up shipping based on the number of items ordered by the customer with USPS. I never see the screens mentioned in the solutions. Here's what I see when I click "Add Rate."
It never asks me to name the rate and I definitely don't see a way to add different rates for different numbers of items. I have been at this for hours and nothing has changed. I thought it would be so simple. Would somebody please, please tell me what to click on so that I can see what everyone else sees.
Hi @bootsb156,
As of now, there is no way to set up shipping rates based on the number of items in Shopify. You can only set up the rates based on the order weight & price. May I know what you are shipping? If possible, it will be better if you can set up the rates based on order weight. Otherwise, you will have to use an app to handle this.
We are shipping coffee which is sold by the pound. As of now, people pay the same shipping rate whether they purchase one pound or 10 pounds; we loose money on shipping cost for any orders over 1 pound.
Okay Weight based shipping still doesn't seem to work. I must be missing something. I just can't quite figure it out.
Here's what happens at checkout
So, the shipping method does not match what's in the new rate. I need to get USPS standard shipping in the rate but I don't see how.
