How can I view a summary of total items needed for current order fulfillment?

THE ISSUE

Orders come with various options & variants. I want to see outstanding order information in a summary-type view. 

EXAMPLE: 20 unfulfilled orders sitting in Shopify.

• 5 orders contain "Espresso, 12oz bag"
• 3 orders contain "Espresso, 2lb bag"
• 1 order contains "Colombia, 5lb"
• 4 orders contain "Colombia, 12oz bag"
• etc.

A view, report, etc showing a summary of total items needed categorically. 

EXAMPLE: 

TOTAL ITEMS NEEDED FOR FULFILLMENT

• 5x "Espresso, 12oz bag"

• 4x "Colombia, 12oz bag"

Hi There - seems you are looking for a Pick List report. Shopify doesn't have anything like this inherently. You could take a look at our Report Toaster app. We have a Pick List report under Fulfillments that will likely work for you. If you need help or customization, just reach out to our support team.

We often create pick-list reports only showing items to be fulfilled with their quantities. These unfulfilled items can be shown as a list by product/variant name, with or without the order date. We can also include more details as needed.

In addition to this, Better Reports has more than 60 built-in reports available out of the box that cover many common use cases for merchants. You can schedule reports to run at set frequencies to your email or Google Drive or export the reports in CSV, Excel or PDF format.

Currently, it's not possible to achieve this through Shopify's built-in reports.

Report Pundit has the option to summarize the outstanding order information which includes the product information and ordered quantity. The report can be sorted and filtered by product title, vendor, Variant title, SKU, and many other fields.

If you use delivery date tags or metafields then we can extract them so you can filter reports by the products that need to be prepared tomorrow, for example.
