How do customers mail physical items to online store owners?

I'm setting up my first store and my shop provides a digital service but requires customers to mail their physical items to me so I can scan them in for them. Can you advise on how that works on Shopify?

Do I just give me them my address and say ship your items here and make sure to purchase tracking?
