How do I add a product to my existing Shipping Profile

I'm trying to add a product to a general shipping profile and don't know how to do it. 

I want to add a new DVD we are selling to the products I already have in the the profile but don't know where to click.

Hi @rkellinas, 

Your general shipping profile will include any products added to your store *by default*.

So if you add a product, it will be in your general shipping profile immediately.

Now if you want certain products to have different rules or conditions applied to them for shipping, you can create new shipping profiles to do that.

What is it that you're shipping? And do you have any other shipping profiles created already?

Yes, I have an existing profile created and I want to add a new product to an existing profile, not the default profile.

Ok, so to be clear: you have created another shipping profile (one that is separate from/distinct to the default General Shipping profile) and you want to add more products to that profile but NOT include them in the general, is that correct?

If you add a product to one shipping profile it is removed from the other profile:

If you've already created a profile, you can simply click "manage" next to your customer profile and then "manage products" to add more:

I've had a look at your store Robert, and I'd like to make a few suggestions to ensure you make the right start on your business. For starters, I'd absolutely recommend thinking about your product line.

It looks like you're selling merchandise - music, CDs, clothes, mugs, Bibles, and so on - which you will need to have a solid content strategy for. I can see you've got a blog, which is great, but you'll likely want to really establish an audience before tackling such a broad product line.

Now in 2023, there is a better way to add products to shipping profiles.

If you have more than 500 products, it can be a pain to manually add each product to their correct shipping profile. Thankfully, You can use the Shipr app to automate this process.

Just create simple automation rules and whenever a new product is added, the app automatically adds the product to the correct shipping profiles based on your rules.
