I received my first order where a customer paid through PayPal. I then proceeded to set up a PayPal Business account and confirmed it is connected in Settings>Payments. This was all done yesterday. However, the order still says "Payment is pending - PayPal Express Checkout is still processing this order's payment. To make sure you get paid, wait for the payment to be successful before fulfilling this order."
Are there any additional steps I need to follow to capture the PayPal payment? I would think this would have taken mere minutes, not days.
Side note: Just want to confirm, the PayPal setup instructions say we need to set up the PayPal business account with the email address used to set up the store. Is this my Shopify account email or the store's contact email? They are different.
I received my 2nd PayPal order today, after my account was set up. However, this time I received an email notice that a payment has been made and I need to confirm my email to receive it. I didn't receive this message the first time. I opened the PayPal Business app, confirmed my email address, and now both payments are there!
New shops, be aware that PayPal will withhold your payment if you are a new store until they get confirmation that your product was delivered. Once they get that, they will release your funds. Didn't see that in any of the documentation.
