Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
I’m having trouble setting up my shipping. I accidentally removed the information that was on the site when you first click on shipping so now I’m starting from nothing. I wanna ship through USPS but I’m currently on my college campus so would i put the shipping from as my nearest usps? I also am not sure if it’s priority mail or what exactly it is . I’m really confused
Hi, @S1!
I'm Miles from the Social Care team at Shopify. Shipping can be a little hard to wrap your head around, but we have some great material to help walk you through each step. As you're wanting to ship through USPS, Shopify Shipping would be your best bet, as you'll receive discounted rates which you can pass onto your customers, or use as profit yourself.
To get a better understanding of Priority Mail and the other types of shipping, you can refer to this table. You'll be able to see what each option means and the shipping timeframes. You'll also be able to see international shipping options if you ship worldwide. If you scroll down after the table, you'll so see some more information specific to USPS that will be super helpful to you.
Once you're ready to set up the shipping, you just need to follow these steps:
I don't want to overwhelm you with too much, but I do have a couple of guides I'd like to share with you in case you run into issues. First of all, here's a guide on setting up shipping rates. This will walk you through every step above in greater detail. Once you start making sales, you'll also need to know how to print the labels, so here's a guide for that as well: https://bit.ly/3tK1qAR.
Once you're set up and ready to go, you'll be close to launching your store. I recommend checking out Shopify Compass. Shopify Compass provides you with webinars and courses on things like store design, marketing and more. It's 100% free for everyone and new content is being added all the time. This program will help you drive more traffic into your store and also convert that traffic into sales.
We're here 24/7, so if you need a hand, please don't hesitate to reach out.
