How do i know exactly what I’m paying for shipping?

I’m starting a dropshipping store and I’m still a bit confused as I’m trying to figure out if I want to offer free shipping.
 Is shipping included in profit margins or do i have to add that in myself? And if someone buys say two items am i paying for shipping per item or per order because won’t some items ship from different places?
