Shopify stared off easy, but once I started receiving orders everything went south!! I don’t know how to receive my money, I don’t know how to elect the delivery for my clients, I don’t know how the installation payments as for my payment, and I don’t know how to create a shipping label for my order?

Hey, @Kilmyaa

This is Luna, from Shopify. First off, welcome to our Community forum! Thanks for bringing your questions here. I completely understand where you’re coming from. Setting up a Shopify store can be overwhelming at times. Please know that we are here to help at each stage of the journey.

To address each of your questions, I’m going to break them down into individual sections below:

  • Receiving your payouts: To gather a little bit more context, are you using Shopify Payments as your processor? If so, you will receive your payouts from us directly. You can check your pay period to see when you receive payouts from credit card orders. You can set up your payouts to be sent out daily, weekly, or monthly as you wish. You can learn more about that here: Getting paid with Shopify Payments. If customers pay using third-party payment gateways, then you won't see your payout information in your Shopify admin. For example, if you are using PayPal your funds will be sent to you through your account with them. It’s always best to check with the service you are using to find out how they will pay you.
  • Shipping your orders: Depending on where you are running your business, you may consider using Shopify Shipping. It is currently available for orders shipped from fulfillment locations based in the United States, Canada, and Australia. It allows you to connect your Shopify account with Shopify's shipping carrier accounts to display calculated shipping rates to your customers at checkout, get reduced shipping rates, and have the ability to print shipping labels right from your Shopify admin. If you prefer to use a third-party shipping carrier you can also set up a flat fee shipping rate or connect your third-party carrier rates by adding the feature to your account.
  • Billing: Just to ensure I’m on the same page, are you referring to your subscription payments to Shopify? Depending on the option you have chosen, your subscription can be paid in the following increments: 30 days, or 1, 2, or 3 years. If you choose the monthly billing cycle, you will be charged every 30 days from the time that your free trial ends. I recommend reading this great resource, to learn more about your Shopify bill overview.
  • Printing a shipping label: If you use Shopify Shipping, then you can buy shipping labels when you're fulfilling an order in Shopify. Check out this tutorial to learn more: How to buy Shopify Shipping labels. If you are using a third-party carrier, you will purchase the label directly from them. Or, you can use a shipping label app instead.

Lastly, I recommend checking out our help document on Getting Started. I know that this is a lot of information at once, so please let me know if you have any questions. I'm more than happy to help.

In the meantime, congrats on your first sale! I’d love to hear more about your business. What type of products do you sell?
