How do I save custom shipping rate name and descriptions

Hi Shopify community!

So when building shipping profiles, I select: "edit rate". Then choose "custom." I enter a "custom rate name" and a "customer delivery description." I finish filling out the other information and save the rate.

The issue is that the custom rate I entered doesn't save in the shipping rate dropdown. If I need to make dozens of these shipping rates, I need to manually create each and every one.

Am I missing something?

Earlier, the shipping method name used to be saved and available from the previously used options list.

Now, it is no longer available, and instead, Shopify has provided an additional option to add a description to the flat rate.
