Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hello everyone, I would really appreciate your help with this. It seems like a simple task, but I can’t figure out how to calculate shipping costs for multiples of the same item.
For example, I’m selling a chair that costs $20 to ship for a single chair. If someone orders two chairs, I estimate the shipping to be around $35. How can I set up Shopify to automatically calculate shipping costs for multiple quantities of the same product? Thanks in advance for any advice!
I used to do this using weight based pricing.
Some documentation to help: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/fulfillment/setup/shipping-rates/understanding-shipping-rates
Hi @RAMGAMEROOM,
As far as I know Shopify doesn't allow you to set shipping rates per quantity out of the box. It can only be based on item weight or order price. For "per quantity" shipping rates consider using apps such as Calcurates. Its Table Rates feature has an FPI (fixed per item) calculation algorithm and you can apply different rates for specific quantity tiers.
