How does payment and communication work with individual suppliers for dropshipping?

Hi there! Working on setting up our new dropshipping store! And I am confused about so many things, most of which are probably basics, but any help is appreciated!!

 

We are not importing products through Oberlo or Aliexpress or anything. We will be adding our own suppliers, each individually, to meet our niche. I'm so confused on how payment works and how to set it up. 

 

1) Customer places order--> We receive a notification of an order/payment (within the outlined timeframe of Shopify payments or paypal or whatever). Does the supplier simultaneously get an email notification of the order? Or do we have to send them an email ourselves manually?

 

2) We want to pay the supplier as fast as possible so they get the product shipped quickly. How do most people do this? Is this streamlined within shopify through ACH information for each supplier? Or do most use a different website or avenue to transfer funds to them? 

 

3) Does the shipping label get automatically generated through shopify and sent to the supplier? (That is what my suppliers want.)

 

4) Supplier ships order--> how are we, the company, notified? How is the customer notified?
