Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
My online store is based in Halifax, Canada. I received an order from the US on 8th of Oct. It was over a $100 order and we offer free shipping for over $100 order. While fulfilling the order I was charged 21.02 CAD for shipping label. I thought that's what all I have to pay. I still think that's too expensive as my product. I want to know how does this work.
Hello @Anjana ,
When utilizing Canada Post for your shipping needs, you can employ their shipping cost calculator to determine the shipping cost. If you are using any other carrier, you should find the respective carrier's calculator.
Keep in mind that, in addition to the shipping addresses, the weight of the package plays a crucial role in calculating the shipping cost.
A rate of 21.00 CAD may not appear excessively high for international shipping. If this cost doesn't align with your business model, you may want to explore alternative shipping companies that offer more competitive rates or consider providing carrier-calculated rates during the checkout process.
