How does the customer knows when their package is at their local postcenter

Hi there.

I use aliexpress for dropshipping where the email provided for shipping is mine, and the phone number is mine aswell. Ive looked around on sites and guides how to do this and they all recommend to use my own phone number. Now i wonder, how does the customer knows that their package has arrive at their local postcenter for pickup? How can they possible know?

Ive tried searching around for this put apperently no1 is asking this?
