How does the Shopify subscription billing cycle work?

hey guys i am still in my free trial and i wanna start on a basic plan but it says i wiill be billed trenially. Does that mean i will pay that much? on the 31st? Can someone assit me please

If you wish to proceed with a triennial Basic plan, then that's the amount you need to settle on January 31st. That covers your subscription for the next 3 years. If the triennial plan was selected unintentionally and you want to downgrade to the $29 monthly Basic plan, we'll need to access your account and forward a request for this to our Billing Team. While we’re not able to provide account-specific support via the Shopify Community at this time, we’d be happy to continue assisting you through live chat, email, or callback. Please visit https://bit.ly/3cJkx8V and log in to your account to create a support request.

How do i create a support request to change this or be on the live chat so someone can assist me please

@BradleyGTRENCH After visiting the link and logging in, you'll be prompted to enter the topic of your concern so we can connect you to the right articles and support team. Simply type in the topic, click search then scroll down to the bottom of the page to click Continue under Get Support. You'll then see the option to create a support ticket on the next page.
