I'm new to dropshipping and ecommerce in general so my question is, what role does suppliers play when it comes down to dropshipping?

Yes I would. I want to know everything it would take for this part of the business to be successful. What are the supplier's top concerns? How do I negotiate with the suppliers and how do I do what's best for my store when dealing with them? Do I have to sign contracts or agreements with them? How do I contact and when should I contact them? If a customer orders from my store, then how does that order get to my supplier's system letting them know that they're has just been an order on my site? There is much more I think I need to know.
