How long until my first sale payment posts?

Hello I made my 1st sale on 1/31 and still no payment. How long does it take to post ?

I know the excitement that comes with getting your first payout so I understand why you would be concerned about this. If your store has Shopify Payments and this is what the customer used to pay for their order (you can check what payment gateway they used by viewing the order timeline), your payouts are subject to a pay period. A pay period is the amount of time between the date that a customer's payment is captured and the date that those funds are sent to your bank account. This amount of time varies per country so I suggest referring to this help doc and clicking the country you're based in to find the pay period that is relevant to your store.

Besides finding out what the pay period for your country is, it also helps to view the payout in your admin to see the date it's going to be transferred to your bank account. If you don't know where to find it, you can follow the steps below to get to the payout page.

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Payments.
2. In the Shopify Payments section, click the View payouts button.

Please note that while your payout is sent to your bank account once it goes through the pay period, it may not reflect in your bank account right away. This is because the funds are also subject to your bank's processing time. To know how long this is, you may reach out to your bank for assistance.

If you have a third-party payment gateway and this is what the customer used to pay, please reach out to your payment gateway's support team to find out when your payout will be sent to your bank account.
