How to add Multiple Payment Gateways on Shopify?

Hi,

I am currently using a payment gateway to process the payments in my Shopify store. I have plans to expand my store to another country customers as well, and I need to use a different payment gateway to be able to process their payments as majority of their cards are not accepted by my current payment provider.

I couldn't find any option to add additional payment gateway on Shopify and have tried searching in the Forum as well, but no luck so far. I was  hoping someone here can help me out this.

Thanks,

Madhu

Hey, Madhu!

Karlie here from the Shopify Guru Team! I'd be happy to break this down for you! For payment gateways, you have the ability to use one payment gateway that accepts credit cards, you can have a PayPal payment gateway set up and you can have an alternative payment gateway and a manual payment gateway set up. I'm afraid that you wouldn't be able to set up two credit card payment gateways at once - but the other options like alternative, manual or Paypal should be available for you!
If you're interested in setting up an alternative, manual or PayPal payment gateway along with your credit card payment gateway, then you can do so from your Shopify Admin> Settings> Payment Providers section. Check out which payment gateways are available for you to use in our handy list here

I hope this helps, but if you have any further questions - be sure to ask and we would be happy to help!

Hi Karlie,

Thank you for the quick response.

Yes, I understand that I can add Paypal and other alternative payment method as well. However, my current Payment Gateway to accept Credit cards doesn't support certain credit card providers. And majority of the customers in my next potential market use that particular credit cards. So I cannot process their payments using my current Payment Gateway. 😕

Is there any way to address this kind of issue? Given that the credit card providers/distribution change(s) based on country.

Thanks,

Madhu

Have you found a way to crack this Madhu?

Looks like there is option to add only one payment gateway still! I am trying to link PayU (for India cards and internet banking) and Stripe for global cards but can't find a way to do both.

I wonder if their are other e-commerce checkouts that supports 2 gateways. I know magneto does, but it too much work to maintain. Anything else than Shopify? Or maybe an app?

Dear Madhu,

Just to confirm your issue again, is it your issue is?

not having option to change your Shopify listed payment gateways based on your country dynamically? (To my knowledge, by default Shopify do not have a option to overcome this issue)

or

Is your issue is that you can not find a suitable payment gateway to a corresponding country? (This can be done, and also build a and add a custom method to have dynamically change hosted alternative payment gateway based on your billing country)

If you clarify your issue little bit clearly I should be able to provide you further guide?

Thanks

Hello @N_Abey  and all

I have a similar issue but want to check if you can guide me - I am trying to set up multiple payment gateways from the same country, same currency and same payment methods for redunduncy.

I know this has been done on a Shopify website - https://www.loom.com/share/a329d16a487c46fc8af0128ef45ca8da

How has this been done?

Thank you

Hi - did you ever manage to get a resolution on this? We'd also like to have a second option, just in case our primary gateway goes down or malfunctions, which happens more often than we'd like.
Thanx

Same question here.... we have sales in the US that is delivered using US inventory location and in Europe using local inventory here. We need US payements to be paid in US bank account and European ones to portguese bank account. Is this possible?
