How to add post purchase upsell to a new order

Hello,

I have a problem (which is not possible to solve on the plugin level I guess) with post purchase upsell offer. I'm talking about upsell offer presented right before the thank you page (NOT on the thank you page).

I would like to have a new order for every upsell or down-sell purchased. Because right now, upsells are being added to the original order. Currently, if the customer accepts an upsell, that amount is added to the original order.

I hope there is a solutions.
