How to adjust estimated delivery date?

I am trying to adjust estimated delivery date from a fixed date (e.g. 2 business days) to a range (e.g. 2 to 5 business days).

Currently this sets unrealistic expectations from customers, and has created complaints when shipping date is out of our control. Is there a way to create a static fixed change to USPS First Package = 2-5 days and USPS Priority = 1-2 days? I understand this varies depending on delivery location, but I figure providing a range is better than promising a specific date.

Thanks!

Hey, @lilbetter.

Elias here with Shopify Support. I'd be happy to lend a hand with this!

I can definitely see how setting a wider date range would be better than setting the wrong expectations with a fixed date. You can change the estimated delivery dates for USPS using the Language editor, which is often used for translating the individual fields in the checkout area. However, since there are several different fields for the date ranges and different carriers involved, you may need to test the different fields using your preferred date ranges and then checking to see if they appear properly in your checkout.
