How to automate gift card authentication in my web store?

Hi,

I'm currently finalising my web store. I am currently running with test mode on for payments. I have set up gift cards and have the auto fulfilment for gift cards activated. When I test purchase a gift card, I receive the purchase invoice but I have to manually authenticate the sale before I get the gift card code email. I've tried toggling it on and off but it still doesn't work.

Any ideas?
