How to fix international shipping selection issues on checkout?

Hey there. I’m having some recurring and inconsistent issues with my international shipping.

it appears that sometimes UK and EU  customers aren’t able to choose their country from the list when checking out.

I’ve tried a variety of things from triple checking the Markets, adding specific countries to my shipping profiles and more. But it’s problematic because I don’t want to have to keep adding new individual shipping profiles when “Rest of the World” just doesn’t work.  I attached some screenshots so you can see what my settings look like Currently

any help I can get would be great. I’m using the Dawn Theme and I had read there were some issues with that.

Thanks.

Hi @DisasterTourism,

It's possible that the issue with UK and EU customers not being able to choose their country during checkout could be related to your store's shipping settings. Here are some suggestions to try:

  1. Check to make sure that the shipping zone for the UK and EU is set up correctly in your store's shipping settings. Make sure that the countries you want to ship to are included in the shipping zone, and that the correct shipping rates and methods are assigned.

  2. Verify that the shipping rates for the UK and EU are set up correctly. You may want to double-check the weight and size limits for each shipping option, as well as the rates themselves, to ensure that they are accurate and reflect the actual shipping costs.

  3. Make sure that your store's address is set up correctly in the Shopify settings. This information is used to calculate shipping rates and can affect which countries are available for shipping.

  4. Try disabling any third-party apps or custom code that may be affecting the checkout process. You can do this by switching to a different theme temporarily to see if the issue persists.

  5. Contact Shopify support for assistance. They may be able to help you identify the root cause of the issue and suggest solutions.

If none of these suggestions work, it may be necessary to create individual shipping profiles for each country you want to ship to, rather than relying on the "Rest of the World" option. This can be more time-consuming, but it can ensure that your customers are able to choose their country during checkout and that the correct shipping rates are applied.
