How to handle outdated PayPal emails when selling digital products?

Our store sells primarily digital products that are sent in the form of a license key by email.  When using PayPal Express Checkout, the email address comes from the PayPal account, and to my knowledge the user isn't asked to enter it or verify it.

As our sales volume has increased, so have the number of "why haven't I received my order?" emails from people who haven't kept their PayPal email addresses current.  Is it possible to accept PayPal payments but without using the 'One-Click' express checkout, or at least allow the customer to manually enter their email address?  The volume of "I never received anything" messages is high enough that I've disabled PayPal Express as a payment method on our site, but I didn't realize it was going to turn off *all* PayPal transactions.  I'd love a solution to this.
