Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hi All,
Just had my first fraud order come through. It was only 1 bad mark because the IP address is 1200 miles away from the shipping address. I emailed the customer and asked him to verify the shipping address and he answered within 30 minutes and verified the shipping address. I have a fishing and outdoor store and his email is fishing based.
Any advice? Should I still process? It was only 1 product for $120.

If the IP address is different, it does not say that he is a fraudster)) suddenly he is traveling or on a business trip or 100 more reasons why the IP address is 1200 miles.

Yea that I understand and considered myself, but something just doesn't seem right via the email communications with the customer.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community! I'm happy to provide some assistance with orders that are flagged as suspicious, to get this resolved. While ultimately, it is your decision on whether or not you would like to fulfill the order, we do have a great Fraud Prevention Documentation that covers some steps you can take to help come to this conclusion.
It outlines suspicious orders can be investigated by:
If after completing these steps, you feel confident with the findings you can decide to fulfill the order. It seems in this situation, a few of these steps have already been completed but do recommend reviewing a few more to be safe!
