How to include item images and totals in order forms on Shopify?

Hi I am wasting so much time referring back to each order to see the item image and total amount for shipping insurance. 

is there a way to customize & print packing slips or order invoices that show the product image and at least the total order $ paid??

I know I can install an app but I rather not, this seems like a very basic thing that should be provided by Shopify
