How to limit local delivery to specific postcodes on an online florist site?

Hi all,

I am new to shopify, I am an online florist delivering locally to certain areas only.

I am wondering how to get around the issue I have whereby despite selecting certain postcodes only in the shopify local delivery app, customers will still be able to bypass this by pressing Apple Pay, Shop Pay etc. i.e. bypassing the go to checkout button.

Is there a way round this. It seems such a basic tool. I need to be able to prevent any orders from going through unless the delivery address is within my limits. I'm sure someone must've figured this out 🙂

Thank you for sharing your question regarding our in-house Local Delivery app. There are some limitations with using this free app that includes buyers not being able to see local delivery at checkout when using third-party accelerated payment methods (ie Apple Pay, Google Pay). On the other hand, local delivery is available to buyers using Shop Pay. 

To amend this you can think about removing other accelerated payment methods, or using a paid local delivery app.

P.S. I noticed you mentioned you experience this issue using Shop Pay as well. If you choose to deactivate (Admin > Settings > Payment Providers) the third-party accelerated payment methods to continue using Shopify's Local Delivery app, let me know if the issue persists with Shop Pay alone.
