Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hi I'm struggling to see how this is viable. I don't think that the customer will wait 30 + days for a product. To get it to the UK sooner is more expensive than the product itself so that means I have to buy in bulk which I wanted to avoid. Can anyone help? Jo
Hey @Jo31,
Have you considered offsetting some of the shipping cost into the price of the product? Customers are adverse to paying more for a product than they do for shipping, but you can play around with your product price and shipping price to find a happy medium that will convert.
Most customers won't wait 30+ days for a product, unless it is something unique that they cannot get elsewhere. Even for small makers who take 2-3 weeks to make an item, it's "too long" for customers to wait and they end up with a large customer service burden from customers inquiring where their order is, if it can be expedite the making of it, or in some cases a customer will want to cancel their order (even though it is in transit) because they simply don't want to wait anymore.
I hope this helps!
Warm regards,
Sharon
