How to manage multi-distro inventory for perishable goods?

Hi All!

Currently I have (3) warehouse locations where inventory needs to be tracked. Since some of our inventory is perishable (ice cream, dairy, etc.) we need our shipping to be as streamlined as possible. 

When a customer orders from a specific zip code we want our inventory to show from the closest warehouse (west, central or east) and not the others. For example, if a customer is ordering ice cream from New York, I want them to only see the inventory from the east coast warehouse (we don't want to ship ice cream from the west or central warehouse to New York).

The apps I'm currently working with are Locksmith and Zip Code Validator. Am I on the right track? Is this possible?
