How to refund shipping charge for a unfulfilled order

Hi,

This is my first sale and i charge shipping when i was advertising free shipping. How do i refund only the shipping charges on a unfulfilled order?

I corrected my shipping rates for future orders but i would like to refund my customer the amount that i over charge, and doing it in a professional way.

Anny help would be apreciated

Hi @VolkensPremium 

If you go to the order in your orders page and open it, click the refund button at the top of the order page.

Once you're in the refund screen, scroll down and you will see the "Refund Shipping" section. Enter the shipping amount into the available field.

If you want the store to automatically send the default refund notification, leave the check box checked for "notify customer".

If you would like to manually send an email notifying the customer & explaining the refund, then uncheck this box.

Then click the Blue "Refund XXXX" button to complete.

The item amount need to be set to 0 correct?

Yes, leave the item(s) at 0 so that you don't refund the merchandise. Only enter the shipping cost in the Refund Shipping section.
