I am setting my shipping profiles up with flat rates attached to weights (as a loop hole for different pricing).
I have some product that will be available for free in-store pickup, but would NOT like it to have a shipping option.
Any suggestions on how to remove the shipping option? I have tried making the weight 1lb, and all shipping options only allowed on 2lb + .. I definitely thought this would work and it did not 😞

I ended up using the app "Shipeasy". It's exactly the customization we were looking for regarding shipping rates .. and very easy. Unfortunately, another monthly app expense. Too bad this isn't a feature within shopify!

The best way to offer a product for pickup only would be to create a shipping profile for that one specific product. This way, you can make this product available for pickup only. I would ensure that you provide that information to your customer through the product description so that they are aware of pickup only. I have created a shipping profile, and maybe I'm missing something.. It still has the option to ship. I can't see where I can state that it is only available for in store pick up? And if I don't add rates, it gives a "we can't ship to that address" - looking like it's just an address issue.
