How to resolve the unexpected developer error at checkout?

Hello! I have a friend trying to check out on his phone in my shopify shop. He keeps getting this error:  "unexpected developer error". He has tried to checkout multiple times and it gives him the same error. He is not listed in my abandoned checkouts either. Curious what I should do next if anyone has any suggestions. Thanks!
