Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hello everyone,
I am looking for a solution to implement complex shipping rates for my store. I have 8 shipping zones and approximately 80 products. Each product has its own shipping rate, and each shipping zone has different rates for each product. For example, Product A costs $80 in shipping zone 1, and Product B costs $100. Now, in shipping zone 2, Product A costs $90, and Product B costs $150. I want to be able to add these shipping rates together in the checkout process. For instance, if a customer purchases Product A and Product B in shipping zone 2, the total shipping cost would be $240. I have searched extensively but have not found any apps that can handle this specific requirement. I do not want to calculate the shipping rates with an app. I already know my rates. I just need a solution that allows me to set rules for every product and shipping zone. I will attach a CSV file for yours reference.Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Sotiris8 ,
You need to assign a weight to each product and configure weight-based rates.
Hi @Sotiris8

A product cannot be in multiple shopify shipping profiles, simplest workaround requires just duplicating products.
See embedded screenshots below of separate shipping profiles for each product with 2 zones in them each with each zone having a separate rate.

All the following assumes this should read as
Product A's SHIPPING cost is $80 in shipping zone 1
in shipping zone 2 Product A's SHIPPING cost is $90
If not and it means that product prices themselves should change that's a completely different type of issue possibly solved by duplicate products, Shopify Markets. Or Shopify B2B features on shopify plus plans.
Nothing complex by this description unless it's malformed if there's just 80 products why not just set up the profiles and be done.
If your just trying to manage this through spreadsheets look for spreadsheet apps.
Or possibly just running into name conflicts for combined rates https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/shipping/setting-up-and-managing-your-shipping/shipping-profiles/...

Customers don't know them, the system doesn't know them, UNTIL they are calculated at checkout.

If shipping profiles doesn't handle this the way that's needed either try an automation app , or you'll have to build your own carrier or shipping app.

Hi @Sotiris8 ,
Use our app ShipMagic to setup rules to handle this scenario.
Following would be the resulting scenarios:
1. Product A + Product B in shipping zone 1 - Shipping price $180
2. Product A + Product A in shipping zone 1 - Shipping price $160
3. Product A + Product B in shipping zone 2 - Shipping price $240
4. Product B + Product B in shipping zone 2 - Shipping price $300
We also have live chat support present inside the app to help you setup the app. Be informed that you need CCS enabled on your store to use all third party shipping rate apps.
Thank you for your reply but as i had stated before i dont need to an app to calculate my rates as i have know already my rates for each product.I just need rules for each product and destination
Exactly my point. You don't need an app to calculate rates. But you need an app to setup rules as per your needs, because it is not possible to do that natively in Shopify.
Hello, @Sotiris8 ,
With Shopify's Flat Rate Shipping, you have the flexibility to set up distinct shipping profiles for individual products . Within each profile, you can establish varying rates for different zones. As these products are placed in the cart, the rates automatically amalgamate.
I don't perceive any obstacles at the moment. Are you encountering any particular challenges, or is there some context that I might be overlooking?
Thank you for your reply. I have completed all the steps you referred to. My obstacle here is that when a client wants to buy the same product twice, the shipping rates do not combine but instead remain as only one.

Thank a lot this solved my problem!I hope you the best and thank you for your time!!Take care.
How did this solve your problem? I'm encountering the same issue you had, but using weight based shipping doesn't work because I send mail in a variety of different per-weight rates.
For example:
Book A is shipped via Media Mail at 1 lb ($4.63).
Widget B is shipped via USPS Ground Advantage at 4 oz ($4.36).
Book C is shipped via Media Mail at 2 lbs ($5.38).
But when A + B + C is totaled up by weight in the checkout, it ends up being a different total than it should be. Or did I misconfigure something?
(Note: I'm not willing to pay for an app to solve this when Woocommerce had this ability as a default feature.)
