How to set up a one-time fee with monthly subscription?

Looking to set up an initial one off fee followed by a monthly subscription payment? All in one transaction.

Has anybody done this?

You can find a list of payment gateways that allow for subscription payments via the Shopify Checkout over on the Shopify App Store. Some of the more popular options include Recharge Subscriptions, PayWhirl Subscription Payments, and Bold Subscriptions. You can check out each app's page to learn more about pricing and their respective features.

In terms of accepting a one-off payment before the customer begins their subscription, I believe this should be possible with most subscription apps but it'd be worth checking this with the app developers directly. Each app will have contact information on their app page.

Can you tell me more about what products you're looking to sell on a subscription basis?
