How to set up vendor-specific shipping profiles?

Is there a way to setup shipping profiles based on vendor? For example, I use several different drop shipping suppliers for different products. They have different policies and prices for shipping.  For example, if a customer purchases 3 products in total, and they happen to come from 3 different vendors.  Vendor 1 charges $3 for shipping, Vendor 2 charges $2 for shipping, and vendor 3 charges $4 for shipping. Could I set up a profile for each vendor, and have them combine so that the customer only sees a total of $9 for shipping?
