I am pretty sure they are charging me money, however I have no way to login to check. I do have the bank-statements that I am being charged. What can I do?
It sounds like you used to have a Shopify store, and you noticed you are still being charged for the subscription on this old store - is that correct?
Generally when a store is completely closed, you should not be seeing any further bills for your subscription. Is it possible that the store was not fully closed? Or perhaps these charges could be from a different active Shopify store?
You should still be able to use your old store login details to double check if the store is indeed closed. If you cannot login because you have forgotten your password, you can find instructions to reset it here. If you have forgotten the store URL, you can use this link to help you find it. When you login using the Account Owner login details, you would see something like this:
If this does not help to figure out where the charges are coming from, then you will need to reach out to Shopify Support here. You will be required to login to the store in question, and possibly any other stores you may have in order for us to see the billing information. We cannot access any store information such as invoices unless you are the account owner and able to login/generate a PIN. A screenshot of the charges on your bank account including the invoice number will be helpful for the support advisor when you contact us.
I am unable to login to the store because I don't remember the email address that I used. I know the store url https://fidgettropolis.com/cart . I also have the bank statements that would prove that I am getting charged. Is there anyway I can get the email address that I used for the store.
Ah OK I understand what you mean. So you cannot remember the email address you used to create the store. Is it possible to check all previous email addresses you may have used, and search the inbox for Shopify related emails?
There is no way for me to find this out for you, as we do not have access to this private & sensitive information here on the Community Forums. However, it might be possible for us to get the account owner email address changed on the store.
To do this, you would first have to contact our support using my link above. You will need to select the 'Continue Without Logging In' option. Once you have made contact with us you can mention that you forgot the email on the account and need to get it changed. They will gather some information from you such as the first/last name of the account owner and the myshopify.com URL of the store. You can also choose the new email address you would like to have registered on the account.
Please note that there generally has to be a payment method already on the account, which will help our team verify you as the account owner.
