I have a small variance between sales amount and deposit amount - why?

The sales amount is different than the deposit amount.  

Sales = $71.96

Deposit = $69.48

Variance = $2.38 

The same will apply for March. 

Sales = $198.92

Deposit = $191.96

Variance = $6.96

Is Hopify taking some kind of servcie charge I don't know about?

Shopify charges you a small fee to allow you to accept major credit cards, such as Visa and Mastercard, as payment in your store. You don't pay any fees to the credit card payment provider itself. Credit card rates vary depending on the plan that you choose, and you can find your rate on our pricing page by clicking Compare plan features.
