Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
I live in a country that doesn't have shopify payments and when I click on the "Payments" tab, the first thing I see is "Choose a provider" while the second thing I see is "Add payment method". My question is : why do i see many more payment providers when I click on "Add payment method" compared to when I click on "Choose a provider" ? Don't they all provide the same service ?
Hello there @Namelxss
The difference is basically that payment methods are the different options that a service provider provides hence that’s why they appear more eg PayPal is a service provider and one of its payment methods is by card, etc.
Hi @Namelxss,
Actually, the difference lies in the types of payment providers available on Shopify. The 'Choose a Provider' tab shows recommended payment providers based on your region. The 'Add Payment Method' tab offers a wider range of options, including external providers that may require extra steps for customers. All providers process payments, but their integration and user experience may vary.
