Import from Oberlo but supplier ask for CSV

Import from Oberlo but supplier ask for CSV

I have imported products using Oberlo. I wanted to order some samples so I tried to purchase the same product on Aliexpress and notice the supplier limits each customer only can buy 1pc at most. Later on I tried to contact the supplier , but then I got a automatic reply regarding drop shipping. They said they accepted drop shipping and can fulfill orders via CSV or XLS file. Does it mean if my customers order from my Shopify page, I cannot fulfill/sync order from Oberlo platform? How should I fulfill the order then?

Hi @Shoppyyy,

I guess that using a CSV or XLS file you can fulfill orders directly at the supplier, bypassing Oberlo and Aliexpress. Maybe then the supplier doesn't impose the 1pc limit.

Have you received any details on how the CSV file should be structured? What columns are required in the file?

@LukaszWiktor

Regarding the details on how the CSV file should be structured (including columns in the file that are required), is it something the aliexpress supplier should give me the instruction?

I was using Oberlo to import the products. When I export the list, should I do that on Shopify or Oberlo and how to export the list?

After having the list, I should contact supplier privately regarding orders? How is the transaction made usually?

Thanks very much!

@Shoppyyy I don't have much experience with Oberlo. I only help merchants automate fulfillment directly with their suppliers using my apps Exporteo and Fulfilleo. What I understood from your post is that the automatic reply from your supplier was referring to a direct integration (outside of Oberlo) via a CSV file.

Nevertheless, it should be definitely possible to manually fulfill orders via Oberlo without the need to send a CSV file. This article may help you: https://help.oberlo.com/en/articles/5179307-fulfill-your-first-aliexpress-order-with-oberlo
