Reach out to Shopify Support. In the meantime, contact FedEx directly to set up an account. FedEx now offers discounted rates for small and medium business owners.

We already have an account with Fedex but the Fedex by Shippo app on Shopify offers better rates.  I have already reached out to shopify support and they were unable to help me.

Hello @MateoSI

Our PH Shipping apps are user-friendly and can be easily configured by store owners without the need for a developer. We also offer an onboarding call after installation to assist with setup and demonstrate the app's features.

For FedEx integration, our PH Ship, Rate, and Track for FedEx app allows you to set up your FedEx account and create labels directly from the Shopify order page. If you're looking for a solution with multiple carrier integrations, I recommend checking out our PH Multi-Carrier Shipping Label app, which supports FedEx, USPS, UPS, and more. It also comes with a 14-day free trial.

Once the app is installed, feel free to reach out to our support team for assistance.

Hello @MateoSI

The app does provide the option to filter the orders based on SKU of the products. You could use this view to filter the orders and Bulk generate & print the labels for bags and boxes separately. We'd happy to learn more about your use case and assist you with the setup and showcase the flow.

Also, can your app do this. we have one label from USPS for the outgoing and one label for Fedex for return on the one product (Bag) can we print both of those labels at the same time using your app in shopify, this would be big for us

Hello @MateoSI

I reviewed our ticketing system and found a ticket from Maggie (SneakerImpact). It seems your business case differs slightly from standard use cases. Based on the discussion with Maggie from your team, you're already using a different solution for USPS to create Forward labels and are looking to use our solution exclusively for bulk Return labels.

The options I previously suggested focused on the Forward label creation process. While both apps can create Return labels, your current approach may not align with our standard flow.

In case of PH Multi-Carrier Shipping Label app, Return labels can only be generated for the orders whose Forward labels are also created using our app. Since this doesn't align with your needs, my team did not recommend this app.

In case of the PH Ship, Rate, and Track for FedEx app, this app allows for Return labels creation without requiring Forward labels, but this must be done on a per-order basis, as bulk Return label creation is not available. However, we did suggest an alternative workaround to Maggie as a solution.

Please feel free to respond to the ticket 289197 if you’d like to explore this further.

We were having several issues with Fedex by Shippo as well. One issue we think we found a band-aid for is ability to buy labels. Since CustomBoxes.io is a B2B site supporting Shopify merchants we have a lot of companies who work out of their house (effectively meaning they are a business working from a residential address). The issue is when customer add their business name during checkout (which we need) it triggers the customer getting a commercial packing slip at checkout, but when we go to buy it Fedex Shippo it recognizes it as a residential address. The issue was that the error message given is unclear and unhelpful for how to fix it.

Here's the band-aid solution: remove the customer's business name and add it to the "Address 2 as the C/O: Company ABC" this will allow the system to properly adjust to residential address allowing you to buy the packing slip.

This also works in reverse...if a company is commercial and doesn't fill out the company name then they'll get residential rates and also not be able to buy the shipping label (in this case you'd need to add their company name in.

Shopify Team: this is fairly easy to resolve. First, if you allowed for address verification at checkout that could ensure everything is correct. That said, if you do not do this due to conversion rate issues ok...the solution in this case is do the address verification on the backend BEFORE merchants go try to buy the labels in the first place. I sort of get why not to do it on the front-end, but on the backend save the merchants some time to do this prior.

Hello @CUSTOMBOXES1

Regarding address classification, I would like to clarify that FedEx offers an Address Validation API that automatically classifies an address as commercial or residential based on the street address details. The presence of a company name does not affect this classification. You can verify this yourself using the FedEx Ship Manager, where you can determine if an address is commercial or residential without adding the company name.

For the specific issue you are facing, please contact Shopify to ensure that the "Address Validation API" is active for your FedEx by Shippo account. Note that the Address Validation API offered by FedEx is different from the "Validate shipping address" feature built into Shopify.

The Address Validation API operates at the shipper account level with FedEx. Most partner accounts should have permission for additional FedEx services like the Address Validation API.

If you are open to exploring other Shopify FedEx integrations, I recommend trying our PH MultiCarier Shipping Label or PH Ship Rate & Track for FedEx solutions. Both apps come with a 14-day free trial. You can integrate your own FedEx account and access all FedEx services, giving you control over the features and services you wish to use for your account.

Hope this helps!
