Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hi, do somebody know how to change code for Dawn 2.0 for combined shipping rate at checkout and counting only highest rate for shipping? Because multiple shipping profiles combine rates.
Thanks for reply or help. Martin
Hi, @Fidiak.
Thank you for reaching out and posting this question!
You don't actually need to change any coding for combined shipping rates. Simply follow our guide on Combining shipping rates from different shipping profiles at checkout. If you're only using one shipping profile, then you can also combine shipping rates within a single shipping profile by using different locations.
If you prefer exploring coding changes for combining shipping rates, then you can see if the Shopify Community can assist you with custom coding. However, you may also want to consider hiring a developer if you're not comfortable working with coding languages (eg. HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid). That being said, if you need help finding a developer, then we'd recommend taking a look at our directory of certified developers on Shopify Experts.
I'd love to hear more about your business and shipping requirements. What kinds of products are you selling? Do you have a marketing plan prepared for your store?

Dear Elias,
Thank you for your response. I looked at the instructions for setting the rates, but I could not find the information. When I have several types of goods with different rates, the amount is added up at the end. Example - product: sticker, rate per package €5 + another product: photography, product rate per package €15. The final price for the package is €20, which is incorrect. The final amount per package should be €15. Can you tell me how I can set it up?
Thanks Martin
Hey, @Fidiak.
Thank you for the additional context!
It does appear that the system is combining the shipping rates as intended, as our guide suggests that the rates will be combined from two or more profiles (eg. €5 + €15 = €20). However, it sounds like you're looking to charge the higher rate as opposed to combining them - is this correct?
If so, then you may be able to accomplish this using a single shipping profile and flat shipping rates. Nevertheless, I don't have enough information regarding your shipping rates to say for sure. Are you using calculated rates or flat rates with your shipping profiles?
That being said, if you need further assistance with your shipping rates, then we'd be happy to access your account and take a closer look at your shipping settings. While we’re not able to provide account-specific support via the Shopify Community at this time, we’d be happy to continue assisting you through live chat, email, or callback. Please visit the Shopify Help Center and log in to your account to create a support request.
Alternatively, you can also consider using third-party apps, like Advanced Shipping Rules or Better Shipping, which can help create rule based shipping rates for different products. If you need any help with a third-party app, the app developer is always available to assist you - you can reach out to them directly through the contact information found in the Support section of their app's page.
If using a single shipping profile isn't an option for you, then can you share more details as to why you need multiple shipping profiles? Do you have multiple fulfillment locations?
