Is QuickBooks no longer supported as a payment method?

I received this notification in my admin console, that shopify isn't going to support quickbooks payments, which sounds ridiculous. They really aren't going to support the largest marketshare of accounting software for small businesses.
Does anyone have details about if I need to find a new payment processor, during peak holiday shopping time?

Subject: Your payment provider will no longer be supported
Starting January 15, 2024, QuickBooks payments will no longer be supported by Shopify. Switch to shopify payments or add a new payment provider to continue accepting payments.

I received the exact same notification but there's absolutely no additional information anywhere. I spoke to Intuit and they knew nothing about it. I can't get in touch with anyone from Shopify. Have you learned anything further?

I got the same message. Does anyone have any updates on this?

I have called both QB and Shopify, neither party knows what this message is. I got another notification this morning.

Its sort of a big deal, if we have to change our payments, and the lack of support from shopify is concerning.

If anyone hears anything concrete, please add it here.

This is what i've received from Shopify support: "Thanks for waiting. I appreciate your patience here. Upon checking our resources with the assistance of our Support Team, it appears that QuickBooks Payments is one of the legacy payment integration types which Shopify is now doing some upgrades and update.

It appears from our system that Impacted partners like QuickBooks Payments will be invited to create a payments app to move their merchants like onto via a form sent in the initial email providing notice of this upgrade. With that said, please know that QuickBooks Payments should have been notified about these changes and they'll be the one to reach out to you about the new integrations before Feb 2024. Quickbooks Payments should have received a form. I understand the urgency of this and how you would like to retain Quickbooks payments as your payment gateway. On the other hand, please know the QuickBook payments is a third party payment gateway. Yes is it available in our Platform, however, Shopify has some payment gateway integration updates which includes Quickbooks Payments. Shopify has sent out notification to the Quickbooks Payments Team about these changes and they should be aware of the need for merchants like you to upgrade it. It should be a communication from Quickbooks Payment. Please know that Shopify has sent multiple notifications and they should be aware of this integration. Shopify has done our part in notifying all affected payment gateways and that includes Quickbooks Payment. If they are insisting that they have not received the integration notification, they are listed as Partners in Shopify and they are free to coordinate with us directly so we can work together to help you out here. We appreciate that. You may advise it to Quickbooks Payment that they are listed as Partners and they have provided their communication details to Shopify which we have use to communicate about all the upcoming changes and it's part of their Support to comply with the changes. If ever you'll reach out back to Quickbooks Payment, you can notify them to reach out to us directly as we already have submitted this feedback you have shared that they are unaware of the changes. Our Team is already into this."

Was shut down on my website without warning, lost over 20 customers and just thought I was having a slow month. There was nothing to show, was connected in Shopify and Quickbooks, however it was a dead connection due to shopify dropping them without telling us. Perhaps to capture more profits forcing to use Shopify, only issue is not all of us can use shopify processing. Support did say, they are in the process or have already removed quickbooks processing with everyone. There is no plan to turn back, I don't have the option to change so we are building on a different platform to move over to. We pay shopify $100+ a month along with massive percentage of each sale. Weird flex Shopify, but after 6+ years here we will be moving.

I just started Shopify, had QuickBooks first. I was wondering why it seemed overly complicated to use QuickBooks payments here, now I know why
