Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
I'm running a Shopify store based in Pakistan, and we've been experiencing steady sales. I'm curious to know if it's feasible for us to expand our reach and sell our branded products in the US all the way from Pakistan.
Has anyone else in the community had experience with this? I'd greatly appreciate any insights, advice, or tips on how to successfully market and sell our products in the US market while operating from Pakistan.
Looking forward to hearing from you all.
Best regards,
Atif Maqbool
Of course you can sell to USA from PK as long as you solved the payment and shipping issues.
What are the payment and shipments issues??
Certainly. You just need to make sure to you work with a good carrier and you are selling products that do not require long customs processing.
I would recommend working with DHL for international shipping.
Hey, how do we sell in Pakistan and US as well when Shopify Payments doesn't work with Pakistani Rupee thus won't allow a market in the US?
Hi @galaxybags,
Yes, absolutely. Shopify's platform is built to enable merchants to reach international audiences and you can certainly look to expand your business to reach customers in the United States. As @Shipant and @Ugurcan have said, you will need to look into reliable shipping options if your products are being shipped to the United States from Pakistan as your primary concern.
I'd recommend checking our Shopify Markets as it offers numerous feautures for growing your business into new countries, such as international domains and local currencies. You'll also want to consider duties and import taxes when exporting goods into the US.
I hope this helps but please let me know if you have more questions!

Hi @LizaZaidi,
You can use a payment gateway available to merchants in Pakistan that allows for international transactions. It is not necessary to use a gateway that is available to merchants in the US, like Shopify Payments, if you want to accept payments from US-based customers.
I'd recommend checking out the link shared above and looking into the gateways listed. You can reach out to the gateways directly and ask them if it'll be possible for you to accept payments from customers in the US.

Imo, your best option is to visit CutClicks and probably needs to get in touch with them via email. They have a system in place to get your products listed on Amazon, ebay and Alibaba and your customers can pay Stripe, PayPal, Klarna, Amazon Pay, ACH and bunch more.
Good luck
