Issue with "Buy X Get Y" Discount Not Applying with Shop Pay

I’m currently setting up a “Buy X Get Y” discount on my Shopify store. The discount works perfectly when a customer uses the "Add to Cart" button — the free item is added automatically. However, when someone selects "Buy with Shop Pay," it only brings the single item to checkout, and the free product isn’t added.

What am I doing wrong? My site is still under development and not live yet. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

1. Modify the cart page logic: Ensure the free item from the "Buy X Get Y" discount is added to the cart before showing the "Buy with Shop Pay" button. Update your cart.liquid to apply the promotion before the accelerated checkout is available.

2. Disabled accelerated checkout foor discount products:  Temporarily disable Shop Pay for products involved in the promotion, forcing users to go through the regular checkout where discounts apply correctly.
