Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
I am using the new split shipping feature, which is supposed to split shipping if two products from different shipping origins are added to the cart. This works well when the products are different.
However, I'm facing an issue when adding the same variant of a product, which is available in a quantity of 1 at each of two different shipping origins. The cart allows me to add a quantity of 2 of this variant without splitting the shipping. This results in overselling from one location.
How can I ensure that the shipping is correctly split in this scenario, just like it does for different products/variants, to prevent overselling?
Hi @umairidris,
Interesting. We have just started to investigate this new split shipping feature and according to your report it looks like it doesn't support partial fulfilment yet. I assume Shopify will definitely add this in the future. In your scenario does it fallback to one of your 2 locations? Is there a specific logic behind this fallback?
Hi! same problem here, did you solve it?
