Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Shopify has put my payments on hold due to "not being able to withdraw a payment" from my shopify bank account.
There is more than $1500 worth of new sales from my shop and all of this money is sitting in my shopify balance.
They will not deposit the money into my bank because of the outstanding bill, but the outstanding bill can not be paid unless shopify releases my funds into the account that the bill gets debited from.
Given that shopify is literally in possession of my money, why can the amount owed not be deducted from my balance like its supposed to be?? At this point shopify is preventing my business from functioning by doing this and I am at risk of having to shut my business down because shopify cant seem to resolve this issues.
I have contacted support more than 5 times since this became an issue and have been told multiple times that ill get a response within 24 hours just to never get a response on the situation at all.
So not only is shopify illegally witholding my money but they are completely ignoring my attempts to contact support to resolve the issue.
Its extremely concerning that a company of this magnitude cant seem to resolve payment issues or actually give their merchants the support they promise. I was unaware that switching to shopify meant worse support than square space had, and that says alot.
Based on experience, this kind of issue will take some time to be resolved. You will need to keep an open communication with Shopify support team regarding this via live chat instead of email or ticket to avoid making it further on the queue.
