Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
So I recently purchased an item from a shop and got tracked shipping. I got an email from the shop informing me that the item has been shipped but when I go to the Shop App to track the package I'm only seeing it say "Shipped" with a little airplane next to it. I wasn't given a tracking number but am not sure if I was supposed to get one (first time buying from a shopify website).
The item was shipped two days ago -- is this something that I should contact the shop about or does it take a while for the app to actually show the tracking? Thanks in advanced!

Thanks for your question. Depending on the shipping method used, it can take a few days for the tracking information to populate on the Shop App and on the tracking website.
If you didn't receive a tracking number (and one isn't showing in your Shop App) it's possible that the package was sent without tracking. If you ordered something small, it may have been sent by traditional letter mail, or by a courier that offers a lower cost no tracking option.
If you still don't see any tracking information 3 business days after your item is shipped, it doesn't hurt to contact the seller to have them verify whether you should have received a tracking number and if they have any more information on your package.
