Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
I have contacted both shopify and Klarna about Klarna Checkout integration but haven't got any sense from either of them, they both reccommend that I contact the other. I realise that there are some Klarna options available in shopify but the ultimate, especially in Sweden is Klarna checkout which is not available.
Since Shopify bought tictail, I would have thought they'd be in a hurry to integrate this or they might find many Swedish merchants just find someone else who will.
Does anyone have any experience whether this is possible and are there any resources/anyone willing to undertake this job if it requires development?

Hey again, @pault !
Apologies for the delay in response. I can confirm that what I was referring to was Klarna Payments, not Klarna Checkout. At the moment, we do not have any timeframe for an accelerated checkout for Klarna. Apologies for the inconvenience caused.
All the Best,
Bo

Hey there, @pault!
Bo here from Shopify Support.
Thank you so much for reaching out today, that is a really great question. Currently, we are working with Klarna to integrate their gateway with our own; Shopify Payments. At the moment we have been able to get this set up for our German merchants who are using Shopify Payments and we do plan on launching Shopify Payments in more and more countries moving forward. While it should be rolled out in the future we can't confirm the specifics on this just yet, but do keep an eye out for all of our releases here.
I understand that this is not the answer that you were looking for, and I do understand your frustration. We hope to have this launched in more countries as soon as possible. I have made note of your feature request and will be passing this on to our developers.
Once again, thank you for your feedback.
All the Best,
Bo

Hi @Bo and thanks for the reply,
We might be talking about the same thing, I don't know. In Sweden we can already use a product called Klarna Payments in Shopify but this is not the same as Klarna Checkout. With Klarna Payments, the user is required to fill in their name and address before they get to the Klarna payment option. With Klarna Checkout, the web page recognises that the user is logged in or has logged in with Klarna at sometime in the past (probably via a cookie) and pre-fetches all of the name and address data so that all the user needs to do is verify via an authenticator on their phone (in Sweden, mobile bankid) and that is it, order made. This is preferable as 70% of traffic is mobile and every second shortening the order process is worth it's weight in gold. Could you confirm whether it is Klarna Payments or Klarna Checkout that you mean?
Thanks

You should check out: https://www.klarna.com/us/business/
There's a chat box in this site, and they can answer your questions directly. I believe Klarna has the product(s) you are mentioning that do integrate already with Shopify. So you might want to go to the source and ask the questions again. Thanks!
Hi, did you ever figure this out? Im having the same problem and no answer to find anywhere.
Shopify says it has to altares in my theme code but that sounds not right..
What about Paybright? Is this a way to integrate Klarna for Canadians? Or What about Affirm?
It seems there is incomplete info on this and a big knowledge gap with Shopify support on this matter.
Thanks,
David
Hey there, @davidru2
This could be a way to integrate Klarna as a payment method for Canadian merchants, however, it would not make Klarna available as an accelerated checkout. I would have to recommend that you reach out to the third party gateways mentioned specifically for more information. As these are third party we do not have all the information you need about them here at Shopify.
All the Best,
Bo

I have configured the payment system as Shopify payments and it includes Klarna too, but when I checking my checkout on my website, it not showing any Klarna payments?, really dissapointing
Hey again, @Fainaz
Once you set up Klarna through Shopify Payments, Klarna will review your store. This can take a few business days - it is not instantaneous. The Klarna option should appear in checkout for you very shortly!

Bo

Hi @pault, did you figured out how to integrate/install Klarna Checkout with Shopify? I'm in Norway so probably Klarna settings are similar.
Thanks
Hi @qsiaxx
No, I didn't unfortunately. I'm very surprised at Shopify about this. They bought Tictail to crush the Swedish e-commerce competition and then don't integrate the largest accelerated checkout provider in Sweden which Tictail provided out of the box.
I guess it's a question of money or that for example, Paypal has pressured Shopify to not include competitors. Sad for all in Scandinavia and the other countries that prefer Klarna. We are not able to satisfy our customers in this area and it, of course, affects our bottom line. People in Sweden don't generally like Paypal and merchants suffer from their exorbitant fees and exchange rates between currencies which is where they make their profits.
I don't know if @Bo has any news of progress or developments in this area?
Edit: Just realised I signed in with my other user, I am actually @pault 🙂
