i had the monthly discount of 1 dollar per month just too try out shopify i ended up not using it, leaving this account inactive since couple months later i am being invoiced about 384 dollars for a subscription is there any way i can cancel or delete my account please help

Thanks for Brought this Question to the Shopify Community.

If your Shopify store remain active and you forget to close the account the the monthly charges add on to your account then the only solution is that you need to pay these charges.

You cannot de-attach the card without paying the charges. Many other merchants face these issues. It's really important to close the account when it's not in use.

If you can share the collab code of the store and can check and contact with the support with solid reason.

Access your Shopify account and follow these steps; Settings > Plan > Cancel subscription.

— Ensure that you pay $384 first to deactivate your store as Shopify needs all the money paid in.

— Incase of any issue reach support team through Shopify support, make sure to provide all relevant explanation including your dormant accounts then demand for either deletion of payment or data and wait for response.

Before you shut it down, remember to export all data, remove all apps in order to prevent additional fees from being incurred.
