Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hello,
I’m trying to find an answer that fits my research. If I setup a basic online Shopify store - can I choose my own manufacturer so I can design my own small boutique clothing range, link it to my store, and then use Shopify’s Fulfillment Network to store, pick, pack and ship to my customers? Or is that not a thing? I’m trying to think of ways to make it as streamline, simple (and automated) as possible. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Jessica
Hey Jessica, yep this should be fine. You'd just need to coordinate with your chosen manufacturer to manage inventory and ensure they can fulfill orders directly. Shopify provides various integrations and tools to manage this process efficiently. Once your products are manufactured and sent to Shopify's fulfillment centers, Shopify's Fulfillment Network (SFN) can take care of storing your inventory, picking, packing, and shipping orders directly to your customers.
Hi David,
Thank you very much for giving me a very clear, direct and confident answer. It’s a very daunting process for me (to be expected) but thankful that I have stumbled across this community in which I can ask these sorts of questions.
Have a great day 😊
