Local Delivery & DHL

Hi Shopify Community, 

I did a test purchase today in test mode in my store, and I was offered local delivery after my zip code.
Although I got an automated email (as the shopper) from DHL with a shipment number that the shipment was handed over to DHL. 
I am using Easy DHL and I did not create a label for the shipment. I was wondering why did DHL get involved in this situation?
